How many classifications are there for alloy aluminum plates?

Alloy aluminum plate is made by adding various alloying elements (mainly copper, silicon, magnesium, zinc and manganese, and a few alloying elements such as nickel, iron, titanium, chromium and lithium) to improve the mechanical properties and chemical indexes of aluminum plate. Alloy aluminum plate has some specific properties that pure aluminum plate does not have, and is widely used in specific environments such as ships, refrigerators, molds and aerospace equipment.

Alloy aluminum plate

A, alloy aluminum plate according to the main alloy elements can be divided into:

Al-Cu alloy aluminum plate (Al-Cu)

Stands for 2A16(ly16) and 2A06(ly6). This series of aluminum plates is characterized by high hardness, in which the content of primary copper is relatively high, about 3-5%. This series of aluminum plates belongs to aviation aluminum, which is not widely used in traditional industries at present. At present, there are not many factories producing this series of aluminum plates in the market. With the development of aerospace industry, the production skills of this series of aluminum plates will be further increased.

Al-Mn alloy aluminum plate (Al-Mn)

It mainly represents 3003 aluminum plate, 3004 aluminum plate and 3A21 aluminum plate, which can also be called rust-proof aluminum plate. The production process of this series of aluminum plates in our market is excellent. This series of aluminum plates is mainly composed of manganese, with the content ranging from 1.0% to 1.5%. It is a series of products with good rust-proof performance, and is a relatively common alloy series that is commonly used in humid environments such as air conditioners, refrigerators and automobile bottoms.

Al-Si alloy aluminum plate (Al-Si)

The representative is 4A01, which belongs to the series with high silicon content, usually the silicon content is between 4.5% and 6.0%. It belongs to building materials, mechanical parts, forging materials and welding materials. Low melting point, good corrosion resistance, product description: it has the characteristics of heat resistance and grinding.

Aluminum-magnesium alloy aluminum plate (Al--Mg)

Represents 5052 aluminum plate, 5005 aluminum plate, 5083 aluminum plate and 5A05 aluminum plate series. This series of aluminum plates belongs to the commonly used alloy aluminum plate series, the main element is magnesium, and the magnesium content is between 3 and 5%, which can also be called Al-Mg alloy. Its main characteristics are low density, high tensile strength and high elongation. In the same area, the weight of aluminum-magnesium alloy is lighter than other series, so it is often used in aviation field, such as aircraft fuel tank. It is also widely used in traditional industries. The processing technology is continuous casting and rolling, belonging to hot-rolled aluminum plate series, which can be oxidized for deep processing. This series of aluminum plates belongs to one of the more mature aluminum plates in our market.

Al-Mg-Si alloy aluminum plate (Al-Mg-Si)

Represents 6061 aluminum plate and 6063 aluminum plate. It mainly contains magnesium and silicon. 6061 is a cold-treated aluminum forging product, which is suitable for fields requiring high corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance. It has good usability, excellent interface characteristics, easy coating and processability, and it can be used in low-pressure machines and aircraft joints.

General characteristics of 6061: excellent interface performance, easy coating, high strength, good usability and good corrosion resistance. Typical uses: aircraft parts, camera parts, couplers, ship parts and hardware, electronic parts and connectors, decoration or various hardware, hinge heads, magnetic heads, brake pistons, hydraulic pistons, electrical accessories, valves and valve parts.

Aluminum-zinc alloy aluminum plate [Al-Zn-Mg-(Cu)]

Stands for 7075, which mainly contains zinc. It also belongs to aviation series. It is an Al-Mg-Zn-Cu alloy and a heat treatment alloy. It belongs to a hard aluminum alloy and has good grindability. After stress removal, the 7075 aluminum plate will not be deformed or warped after processing. The whole oversized and thick 7075 aluminum plate is detected by acoustic wave to ensure no sand holes and impurities. The 7075 aluminum plate has high thermal conductivity and short molding time, which increases work efficiency. Its main feature is that the hardness of 7075 is aluminum alloy with high hardness and strength, which is often used in aircraft manufacturing.

Second, according to whether heat treatment can strengthen the alloy aluminum plate, it can be divided into heat treatment strengthened alloy aluminum plate and non-heat treatment strengthened alloy aluminum plate. The latter can only be strengthened by cold working but not by heat treatment.

3. Alloy aluminum plates can be divided into binary alloy aluminum plates, ternary alloy aluminum plates, quaternary alloy aluminum plates and multicomponent alloy aluminum plates according to element units.
