Possible problems and solutions in the process of installation and debugging of pressure transmitter

First, the transmitter has no output


1: Check whether the transmitter power supply is connected reversely;


Connect the power polarity correctly.


2. Measure the power supply of the transmitter to see if there is a 24V DC voltage;


The power supply voltage to the transmitter must be ≥12V. If there is no power supply, it is necessary to inspect whether the loop is disconnected and whether the detection instrument is selected incorrectly; Wait a minute.


3: If it has a header, check whether the header is damaged;


If the header is damaged, it needs to be replaced.


4. Connect the ammeter in series in the loop of 24V power supply (a device for providing power to electronic equipment) to check whether the current is normal;


If it is normal, it means that the transmitter is normal. At this time, check whether other instruments in the loop are normal. Pressure transmitters should include capacitive pressure transmitters, diffused silicon pressure transmitters, ceramic pressure transmitters, strain pressure transmitters, etc. Pressure transmitters can be divided into general pressure transmitters, differential pressure transmitters and negative pressure transmitters according to the pressure measuring range.


5: Whether the power supply is connected to the power input end of the transmitter;


Connect the power cord to the power terminal.


Second, the transmitter output ≥20mA


1: Is the transmitter power supply normal?


If it is less than 12VDC, check whether there is a large load in the loop, and the input impedance of the transmitter load should meet RL ≤/ω.


2: Whether the actual pressure exceeds the selected range of the pressure transmitter;


Re-select the pressure transmitter with appropriate range.


3. Whether the pressure sensor is damaged, severe overload may sometimes damage the isolation diaphragm.


It needs to be sent back to the manufacturer for repair.


4: Whether the wiring is loose;


Connect the wire and tighten it.


5: Is the power cord connected correctly?


The power cord should be connected to the corresponding terminal.


Three, the transmitter output is less than or equal to 4 ma output is less than or equal to 4 ma.


1: Is the transmitter power supply normal?


If it is less than 12VDC, check whether there is a large load in the loop (huí lù), and the input impedance of the transmitter load should meet RL ≤/ω.


2: Whether the actual pressure exceeds the selected range of the pressure transmitter; Re-select the pressure transmitter with appropriate range.


Whether the pressure sensor is damaged or not, severe overload sometimes damages the isolation diaphragm and needs to be sent back to the manufacturer for repair.


Four, the pressure error instructions


1: Is the transmitter power supply (the device that provides power to electronic equipment) normal?


If it is less than 12VDC, check whether there is a large load in the loop, and the input impedance of the transmitter load should meet RL ≤/ω.


2: Is the referenced pressure value necessarily correct?


If the accuracy (precision) of the reference pressure gauge is low, a pressure gauge with higher accuracy needs to be replaced.


3: Is the range of pressure indicating instrument consistent with the range of pressure transmitter?


The range of pressure indicating instrument must be consistent with that of pressure transmitter.


4. Whether the input of the pressure indicating instrument and the corresponding wiring are correct.


If the input of pressure indicator is 4~20mA, the output signal of transmitter can be directly connected; If the input of the pressure indicator is 1~5V, a resistor with an accuracy of one thousandth or more and a resistance of 250Ω must be connected in parallel at the input end of the pressure indicator, and then connected to the input of the transmitter.


5: The input impedance of the transmitter load shall conform to RL ≤/ω.


If not, corresponding measures can be taken according to their differences, such as increasing power supply voltage and reducing load.


6. Whether the input end is open when the multipoint paper recorder does not record; If the circuit is open:


1), can't take other load;


2) Switch to other recorders with input impedance ≤250Ω when there is no recording. The manufacturer of pressure transmitter is a capacitor composed of measuring diaphragm and electrodes on insulating sheets on both sides. When the pressure on both sides is inconsistent, the measuring diaphragm is displaced, and the displacement is proportional to the pressure difference, so the capacitance on both sides is unequal, which is converted into a signal proportional to the pressure through oscillation and demodulation.


7: Is the corresponding equipment shell grounded? The equipment shell is grounded.


8: Are the wires separated from the AC power supply (a device for supplying power to electronic equipment) and other power supplies?


9. Whether the pressure sensor is damaged, severe overload may sometimes damage the isolation diaphragm. It needs to be sent back to the manufacturer for repair.


10: Whether the pipeline is blocked by sand and impurities, which will affect the measurement accuracy; It is necessary to clean up impurities and add a filter before the pressure interface.


11: Whether the temperature of the pipeline is too high, the service temperature of the pressure sensor is -25~85℃, but it is within -20~70℃ in actual use. Differential pressure transmitter is a common sensor in industrial practice, which is widely used in various industrial automatic control environments, involving water conservancy and hydropower, railway transportation, intelligent buildings, production automatic control, aerospace, military industry, petrochemical, oil wells, electric power, ships, machine tools, pipelines and many other industries. Add a buffer tube to dissipate heat. Before using, add some cold water in the buffer tube to prevent superheated steam from directly impacting the sensor, thus damaging the sensor or reducing its service life.
