Summarize four ways of network monitoring installation.

The first mode: traditional mode, which consists of network camera+power supply+network cable.


This is a common method, which many friends are using. In the process of comprehensive wiring, the power cord and network cable should be laid at the same time, and the power supply can also take 220V AC nearby, so as to save power wires, and its advantages and disadvantages will not be discussed here for the time being. Provide power for each network camera. Another network cable transmits network data to the network hard disk video recorder NVR.


The second type: POE power supply mode, network camera +POE switch.


Compared with the previous method, this method saves a power cord, and a network camera only needs a network cable as the medium for transmitting signals, so the power cord is no longer used. Just use unshielded super-five twisted pair for the network cable, and there is no problem within 100 meters of transmission distance.

Why the mainstream use of PoE switches as network monitoring systems now has the following advantages:


1, save wire, save wiring time, save wiring labor, and provide engineering construction efficiency. 2. Without power supply, strong electricity is not involved, and there is no danger of electric shock, which reduces the failure probability and maintenance cost. 3, reduce the construction difficulty, simple and convenient, easy to use, and the engineering wiring is more beautiful.


The third type: network camera+optical fiber+transceiver in the case of long distance.

As we said just now, if the transmission of network cable is normally within 100 meters, then we generally consider using optical fiber for transmission. Optical fiber not only has a long transmission distance, but also has a stable effect.


As we all know, when optical fiber transmits data, the data signal is converted into optical signal for transmission, and then the optical signal is converted into data signal, so we use the cooperation of optical fiber transceiver to complete the work. As shown in figure:


Optical fiber is cheap and has a long transmission distance, so it is widely used in monitoring engineering. However, optical fiber needs to be fused, and ultrasonic welding machine is expensive, so generally, it needs to be fused by someone, which costs a certain amount of money and takes a certain amount of time. Optical fiber transceiver can be divided into 100M and Gigabit, which can be selected according to the number of cameras.


The fourth mode: wireless transmission mode, camera+wireless bridge.


In the specific monitoring system implementation environment, if the wiring difficulties encounter natural barriers or insurmountable obstacles, we can use wireless transmission mode, thus using wireless bridges.


For example, wireless transmission is applicable in communities with hardened roads, elevators, factories that have been built, open areas that are far away, and outdoors.


Wireless bridge can convert network signals into radio waves for point-to-point transmission. Use in pairs. Due to point-to-point directional transmission, long-distance wireless transmission can be realized, from hundreds of meters to dozens of kilometers.


Points for attention in the construction of using wireless bridge: there should be no obstruction or obstacle between transmitter and receiver. So that the signal transmission will be stable.


The above four methods are commonly used in the process of monitoring installation, which mainly need to be selected according to the environment.
